  • Abstract
    The requirements established for a new VAX-based data-acquisition system (DAS) are presented. The hardware configuration and software concepts of the system are described. The various components of the DAS software are discussed. The present status of the system is summarized, focusing on the back-end software. The outlook for future expansion is briefly considered
