  • Abstract
In this paper, an approach using three model predictive controllers has been investigated for vector control induction motor drive. These controllers are connected in cascade in the feedforward, the first is used for speed control, the second is used for rotor flux control and the third is dedicated for current control. The validity of the proposed system has been demonstrated through computer simulations. A comparison between the proposed system and PI control has been offered. The results obtained have confirmed that the proposed system is effective and robust against load disturbance. In addition, it has fast and good dynamic response over a wide speed range.
