Field Experience with Harmonics Injecting Equipment in Distribution Networks

The authors discuss field experience with three ac-dc converter installations. A rectifier and two self-commutated inverters comprise the evaluated equipment. Each case deals with slightly different aspects in the application of converters on power systems. The three cases compliment each other to provide insight into a majority of the problems and solutions associated with power conditioning equipment in general, and converters in particular.
