    Conference Founder Stamatis Vassiliadis Memorialized Conference founder Prof. Stamatis Vassiliadis, who passed away on 7 April, 2007 was memorialized at the 2007 SAMOS VII meeting on the Greek island of Samos from 16-19 July. SAMOS\´s organizing committee established the "Stamatis Vassiliadis Best Paper Awards" program to perpetuate his inspiration.
