Abstract
In vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), the trade-off between privacy and authentication leads to a harmful type of network attack called Sybil attack. The challenging is to avoid and detect such attack without compromising user (vehicle) privacy. Thus, this paper proposes a privacy-preserving authentication and Sybil detection protocol for VANETs.
