  • Abstract
    Bit-by-bit label recognition for 100-Gb/s optical packets based on self serial-to-parallel conversion (self-SPC) was demonstrated using an ultrafast all-optical switch-based SPC module controlled by a packet-level single-pulse generator with a photoconductive sample-and-hold circuit. Also demonstrated was 1/spl times/4 optical packet self-routing based on two-bit label recognition by the self-SPC.
