Abstract
A novel integration paradigm for RFID and WSN, in which one or more sensors are blended into a passive RFID tag and the tag is then directly wired to a sensor node, is proposed. It could significantly expand the coverage of a WSN with a given cost. This paper explains the design details and analyzes the coverage gain quantitatively. The paradigm has been demonstrated with typical blind guide application, though the application is not discussed in this summary due to page limit.
