Abstract :
It has already been shown that the shape of the circulating current of parallel convertor configurations can be controlled by the use of thyristor controlled taps, and that such action can be used to increase the number of pulses. This technique, referred to as DC ripple re-injection, is generalised and it is shown, theoretically and experimentally, that it is possible to increase the number of pulses by any specified multiple of the basic pulse configuration
