This bibliography was prepared for Working Group 79.2 on Static Var Compensators in AC Substations of the IEEE Substation Committee. This bibliography is the initial issue of published material on Static Var Compensators. Due to the interest expressed in Static Var Compensators for both DC and AC. Applications, there is a need to list" aterial published up to the present day. The bibliography is presented in alphabetical order for the years 1971 to 1982. For the previous years, alphabetical order is observed for the periods 1921 through 1965 and 1966 through 1970. Further editions will be issued from time to time as they become available.
