Abstract :
The System Analysis Model (SAM) developed under the umbrella of PNUCC´s System Analysi´s Committee is capable of simulating the operation of a given load/resource scenario [1,2]. This model employs a Monte-Carlo simulation to incorporate uncertainties. Among uncertainties modeled is thermal unit availability both for energy simulation (seasonal) and capacity simulations (hourly).
