Abstract
For over 20 years, the North American Electric Reliability Council Operating Committee´s (NERC-OC) Performance Subcommittee has been using the Control Performance Criteria (CPC) to evaluate the control performance of NERC´s control areas. A new, more comprehensive CPC criteria is being put through its trial period by the Performance Subcommittee. The author reviews how the current CPC was developed, implemented, and used to date.<>
