Abstract :
In order to determine major trends in substation design practices for alternating current voltages above 800kV, a survey was made and responses received from 4 major utilities and or consultants, and 4 manufacturers worldwide. For easier comparison the responses are tabulated in Sdmmary of Data-Table and they are current up to August 1981. This information will serve as a permanent record of the state of the art to date and will be of value to the user and the supplier who may be contemplating systems in UHV ranges.
