Abstract
An improved method of source corrected analysis of speech is presented, based on preconditioning of the initial glottal endpoint estimates. The authors show why the existing algorithm sometimes fails to converge and how this may be avoided by modifying the initial endpoint estimates so that they lie between their true positions.
