It is showrn that the terminal solvability of a multiterminal

network can be reduced to that of a multiterminal

network. To prove the terminal solvability or the existence of a mathematical model for multiterminal

networks, such networks are considered in the form of two interconnected networks

and

, where

contains resistors, capacitors, and the drivers to be connected at the terminals of the multiterminal

network and

contains only the gyrators in it. An augmented mathematical model for

is defined. This new characterization of

provides us with an easy procedure for the elimination of unwanted network variables. It is also indicated that

(and therefore

) networks are always terminal solvable, but they may not be completely solvable.
