Abstract :
This paper is a summary of the observations and monitoring done during the first year of operation of a windfarm located on Crotched Mt. in Greenfield, New Hampshire. The manufacturer and participating utilities have begun to answer the many questions which until now have only been modeled by computer simulation, discussed in theory or formulated in studies. While this paper does not answer all of the questions on windfarms, it does provide valuable data on the operation and performance of an actual windfarm under a variety of conditions.
