  • Abstract
    ANSI/IEEE Std 650-1979, "Qualification of Class 1E Static Battery Chargers and Inverters for Nuclear Power Generating Stations" was published as a means of qualifying complex electronic equipment in controlled environments outside containment. Recently the terms "mild" and "harsh" environments have been introduced to define and separate two types of operating requirements in nuclear plants.
