    The behavior of the robustness margin rmax of uncertain linear systems is discussed. Barmish et al. (Syst. Cont. Lett., vol.15, p.91-98, 1990) argued that rmax may be discontinuous with respect to the system data. The role of data versus uncertainty is clarified
