Abstract
A quadrature method for frequency modulation (FM) detection popular in continuous-time (analog) FM receiver designs involves operating on one of the quadrature components with a frequency-to-phase filter and then multiplying the result by the other quadrature component. This article describes an efficient discrete implementation of this technique as presented in D. Farrell and A. Oakley (2004).
