Abstract :
The consumer electronics companies and cable industry have been at odds for years over “the cable ready TV” and “TV ready cable” rhetoric. This was largely due to no universally agreed upon interface specification between cable and consumer devices. This is solved with the EIA draft document, IS-23, “RF Interface Specification for TV and Cable Television Systems”. Key aspects of this agreement are discussed
