Abstract :
The so-called Wanlass configuration for three-phase induction motors is discussed and analyzed. This configuration is modeled using conventional induction motor analysis techniques. Test results are presented which veryify the modeling techniques. The authors conclude that the Wanlass configuration does not result in improved performance over that which is achievable using conventional winding techniques.
