Abstract :
The generalised likelihood ratio test for detecting a target signal with unknown Doppler shift in coloured interference with known covariance matrix is shown to have the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) property provided that the covariance matrix is Toeplitz. The asymptotic density function of the test statistic is derived.
