Abstract
An ordered maximum signal-to-noise (SNR) detection algorithm at the receiver as an alternative to power allocation at the transmitter to solve the diversity loss problem for space time coded systems is proposed. Simulation results show it has 1.5-3 dB gain over the power allocation scheme at a frame error rate of 10-2.
