Abstract :
Corresponding to a crosslinked polyethylene cable with water impervious layer, we have developed a water impervious cover for a straight splice. This cover is composed of both a shrinkable tube comprising a lead-polyethylene laminated sheet and adhesive compound, and attached to the outside of a commonly used splice housing.
