Abstract :
The paper describes an evaluation of the effects of load management on system reliability with explicit treatment of changes in unit and system operating conditions brought about by changes in the system load cycle. The study was conducted using the OPCON generating system reliability model whose methodology and features are described. Comparisons of reliability indices computed using OPCON and traditional reliability models are presented.
