  • Abstract
    Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the capacitor loaded transformer with time-varying turns ratio to be a complete step-up 1-port for L^2(-\\infty , \\infty ) . This is then used to demonstrate the existence of an abundance of time-varying complete step-up n -ports for L^2(-\\infty , \\infty ) . These results are generalized to establish the existence of complete step-up n -ports for L^2(a, b), - \\infty \\leq a < b \\leq \\infty .
