Abstract :
A novel design for a high gain-slot antenna is proposed. In the proposed design, by properly etching nonradiating open circuit slots and crossovers along the axis of the radiating slot, the aperture field on every slot dipole forms in phase-electric fiend standing wave distributions. As a result, the radiating slot can achieve a high gain. To validate the proposed design, the simulated and measured results of a prototype are presented.
