Abstract
In this paper analysis of the steady-state stability of a large power network is conducted using frequency methods. The problem of selecting the appropriate values of excitation system parameters (e. g., regulator and power system stabilizer gains) for a multimachine power system is considered. A procedure for optimizing these adjustable parameters, to give the best degree of stability at the desired frequency range, is presented.
