Abstract :
Information technology (IT) is the storage, manipulation, communication and use of information, often using computers. The recent rapid development of IT has 5 phases: invention; stand-alone applications; integrated applications; improvement of existing routines; and changes in routines. Management and support of R&D work at each phase is also discussed
