Abstract :
A directional 75-centimeter Barkhausen-Kurz transmitting and receiving equipment for both telephone and code work has been developed. A simplified theory of the mechanism of oscillation is given. The range of 88 miles over water reported exceeded the distance from the transmitter to the horizon by a factor of five.
