Abstract :
This subcommittee report is based on the seventh biennial survey (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) of power engineering educational resources in the United States of America. This survey is conducted to determine the electric power engineering education resources at ABET/ECPD (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology/Engineers Council for Professional Development) accredited universities in the United States of America for the 1981-82 academic year. The report is limited to schools that reply on a voluntary basis. For the schools that replied, the report contains a list of faculty active during the subject year, their level of academic participation and professional experience. Statistics are presented on student enrollments at the graduate level and technical course enrollments at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Data are also presented on degrees granted and research funding.
