Abstract :
A contingency analysis and fast remedial action program implemented in a personal computer environment using interactive graphics is discussed. The design of the program allows students to conveniently study the process of contingency analysis and the subsequent generation of possible remedial action plans for selected contingency cases. The program employs interactive graphics to display the results of contingency analysis as well as the associated remedial action. The authors review the contingency analysis/remedial action algorithms implemented in the program as well as the graphical interfaces. Specific examples are discussed
