Abstract :
We propose a model for 3D eddy current computation in carbon-fiber reinforced composites, where only the active parts are discretized. The proposed method is based on the T- phi formulation. We use the finite difference method in the composite material, associated to a volume integral equation in the source region where a current source density is imposed. As a validation, numerical results are compared to analytical calculation, supported by a numerical example in eddy current nondestructive testing.
