Abstract
This paper highlights portions of the recent major EPRI Research Project on Transmission Line Grounding [1]. Comprehensive background information has been assembled. A generalized method to analyze transmission line grounding is described. A versatile interactive computer program capable-of handling complex grounding scenarios is introduced. Computation results are in good agreement with actual staged fault test measurements conducted within the scope of this EPRI research work. User oriented graphic design techniques for typically occurring situations are described.
