  • Abstract
This paper presents methods used in the design of precise coaxial cable simulation networks for digital line repeaters. The insertion loss of the longest simulated cable varies between 5 and 54 dB from 2.7 to 275 MHz. The design combines classical RL synthesis, precise modeling and optimization techniques. Success depends on systematic minimization of and design with unavoidable parasitic capacitances.
