  • Abstract
The IEEE Load Management Working Grout (currently Load Management Subcommittee) of the Power System Engineering Committee commissioned a task force to study utility load management organizational structure. This Task Force conducted a survey of 20 utilities and examined relationships between organization, objectives, types of programs, and stage of program development. This paper suarizes the survey results. One interesting resul t was that utilities with larger 1990 MW goals for load management tended to have a Vice President of rates, marketing, or conservation overseeing load management. Moreover, these utilities tended to have a seDarate, identifiable load management planning group.
