Abstract :
This paper analyzes the FWM effect with different frequency spacing schemes that can be employed in WDM based optical networks in RADAR remoting applications. Presently the fiber optic RADAR remoting technique has got wide acceptance because of the advancement in the field of RF-Over-Fiber system along with WDM based networks. This will replace the electronic multiplexing techniques and RF cables with WDM and high bandwidth optical networks. Since the fiber used is a low loss fiber, then the only imperfection is Four Wave Mixing (FWM) effect due to non linear susceptibility of the fiber. So this paper identifies the suitable frequency allocation schemes that can be used in WDM networks in terms of FWM efficiency for RADAR remoting applications.
