Abstract :
Power allocation is a major issue in a cooperative wireless communication system, for improving performance of the system. In this paper, we consider a cooperative wireless communication system with amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying scheme. Considering the perfect channel state information (CSI), we allocate power of source and relay using particle swarm optimization (PSO) with minimizing symbol error rate (SER) as a constraint. The PSO algorithm maintains a swarm of particles, where each particle represents a possible solution. Hence the implemented scheme for power allocation in cooperative relaying enhances the system performance.
