Abstract :
Superheterodyne receivers are particularly sensitive to interference at the intermediate frequency and at the image frequency. Several types of selective circuits are described for coupling the antenna to the grid of the first tube which have especially great selectivity against such interference. The number of selective circuits which must be tuned to the signal is thereby minimized. Performance curves are given for receivers having intermediate frequencies of 175 or 450 kilocycles.
