Abstract :
A new transformation which converts a multivariable positive real function to another multivariable positive real function is presented and the conditions for the reduction in degree of the resulting positive real function are discussed. Its application to the synthesis of a class of multivariable driving-point functions is discussed. These results are generalized to the synthesis of a class of

-port multivariable driving-point matrices.
