Abstract :
In this paper, conventional PID technique and soft computing techniques such as Fuzzy logic, Neural Networks for a non linear level process are discussed in simulation and real time. The non-linear process dealt here is level control in a real time model of a spherical tank which is first linearized using Piece wise linearization technique. The conventional controller and soft computing controller techniques such as fuzzy and neural network have been implemented. The mathematical model of the process was derived and further steps were implemented. The conventional PID parameters are designed based on the Cohen coon method. The fuzzy and neural controllers are implemented using MATLAB and LabVIEW.
