  • Abstract
    The power industry is at a point in its evolution where sophisticated control decisions. will have to be executed to enable systems to run with the utmost of efficiency. In order to incorporate the equipment needed to effect these decision processes, engineers designing these systems need to know some specific details with regard to microprocessor-based controls, such as the intellegent capacitor-bank controller described in this article. They need to have an understanding of the abilities and limitations of such equipment in order that wise judgements may be made in achieving the goals of the industry.
