Abstract :
In commenting on the above namework (see ibid., vol.38, no.6, p.910-20, 1990) it is shown how good starting values can be obtained for the minimax design of infinite impulse response (IIR) digital filters in the complex domain with the Ellacott-Williams (1976, 1979) algorithm.<>
