Abstract
This excellent book answers the need for proper modeling methodologies in order to advance our structural knowledge of the human brain. Some of the topics covered include: random signals and probability; multidimensional random variables; spectral properties of random signals; statistical models for random signals; Poisson processes and affiliated signals; random signals and dynamic systems; mean square estimation for stationary signals; prediction for stationary signals; time recursive methods; and matched filters. Suitable problems are set out at the end of each chapters. The audience of this volume should consist of researchers in computational intelligence, biomedical signal processing, and artificial neural networks, engineers, professionals, and academics.
