Abstract :
American Electric Power (AEP) has studied the chainette structure for application on EHV and UHV lines. AEP in 1980-81 designed and built one 765kV structure. Based on this experience AEP completed a second design and plans this year to build seven 765kV chainette structures. This paper describes the results of the study and the design work.
