Abstract :
This paper describes the design and analysis of a triangular shape inverted fractal patch antenna which shows miniaturization and multiband operation without degradation of its gain. Two shorting pins are used in the structure to make the antenna tunable as well as improve the value of return loss. In this study stacked fractal antenna has been considered which is basically to retain in the gain of the antenna even after second iterations. It is found that second iterated structure resonates at 2.3367 GHz, 5.39 GHz, 7.58 GHz with corresponding gain 8.68 dB, 7.30 dB and 6.33 dB. Simulations are carried out on Ansoft HFSS based on finite element method based software.
