Editorial

It is a privilege to write this editorial as the newly elected President of the DEIS for 2009. Some of you know that I have been involved in many DEIS activities: as an officer, an AdCom member, an Associate Editor of the Transactions (TDEI), a Conference Chair, and an author in this magazine and in TDEI. But being the President is a special honor and I am thankful to you, the DEIS membership, for giving me the opportunity to continue to serve our community.
