Abstract :
It is pointed out that one of the main arguments in the above-mentioned comment by P.V.A. Mohan (ibid., vol.36, no.2 p.310-11, 1989) on a paper by B.W. Bomar and R.D. Joseph (ibid., vol. CAS-34, no.8, p.983-4, 1987) that the extremum frequency need not be solved explicitly, is true, but its existence must be verified, as shown. It is shown that a similar correction applies to the corresponding formulas for the L/sub infinity / norm of a second-order s-domain transfer function presented by P.V.A. Mohan et al. (1983).<>
