Abstract
The solution of the equation governing oscillations in simple nonlinear systems is obtained by use of the differential analyzer, a mechanical means for solving differential equations. Solutions are given in the form of curves plotted for various values of the two parameters of the equation. The curves show in particular the behavior of a system which is not operating on an inflection point of the characteristic of the nonlinear device, so that the oscillations are not symmetrical.
