Abstract :
Results from previous measurements are analyzed using the propagation equations based upon dq/dv in the charge (q)-voltage (v) characteristics of line sections. The difference method is used for numerical calculation. The calculated propagation waveforms closely agreed with the measured waveforms at many points by a single q-v curve. The effectiveness of the present technique for estimating the attenuation and distortion by corona of overvoltage surges, was affirmed by this agreement.
