Abstract :
An electrically long tapered slotline antenna is presented in this letter. The proposed design utilizes several parasitic patch radiators etched under the slotline. By adjusting the geometric parameters of the slot, the position of the patches along the axis of the slot and the width of the patches, high gain and high directivity can be achieved. In order to validate the proposed design, a practical design is considered and experimental measurements are presented.
